16th April

Thai was lovely. James ate a few bowls so it must have been pretty good! Looks like Cassie will be out of hospital by lunch time today which is great news. Girls actually slept in until 7 (after waking two times each) so we had a slow start doing the washing and tidying up before heading to the information centre to see what there was to see. Sam had suggested the Cosmos Centre and the Bilby tour and when we pulled up at the info centre we discovered that it was actually the cosmos centre also. We had hoped to do a station tour but unfortunatly they were only run Tuesday and Thursdays. Sam messaged to say they were home and we agreed to meet at the Cosmos Centre to do the astrology centre.

The girls were thrilled by the stars all over the floor (glitter on blue carpet) and even more so when they noticed it stuck to the wheels of the stroller! The cosmos centre was very interesting and great to see though i think Sophie may have been just a little bit young for it. The lady doing the speech on the solar system, stars and planets cut it down a lot so that it was quicker and easier for her to understand though and she liked holding the space rocks. After this we headed to Russels Bakery for takeaway lunch and took it to the park which I forgot the name of. It is home to hundreds of birds from geese to chickens!

After a long play we checked out the Vortex (rain making) Guns that actually failed to make rain but were a big part of history anyway!

We then caught up with out friends from the Nullaboar (the one with three small kids who were travelling to QLD so they could have their 4th) who had caught up with us (they did not travel through NSW). After a chat we went back to Sam's and james dropped us off then took Libby for a drive to put her to sleep while the big girls played. We had a quiet afternoon as we were cooking a roast (lamb of course) and inviting Trish and Jimmy for dinner. The girls rode and raced their bikes and Sophie tried out Cassie's (expandable) roller blades. Had a lovely dinner and then put the girls to bed.

Tomorrow we are taking James to the hospital as he has an infected hand (he seems to have lost 3 knuckles) and also Sophie has an infected nose (too much picking!!!!) and then hoping to do the Historic House.

Nite XXX
