11th April

This morning it was not raining! However the nights have been very very cold, two pairs of clothes and two blankets and breathing fog cold! Grr
We headed into Queenbeyan early to see if the in laws car could get serviced with no luck. We then went and looked at Googong Dam and the suspension bridge, the latter being a little scary as it rocked worse than the tree top walk (thou not nearly as high). James was jumping and swaying from side to side until the girls cracked up!

After this we met up with Trish and Jimmy;s Goddaughter Amber whom Sophie adored. We had lunch and then went to meet Ambers mother who Trish and Jimmy had not seen in years either. Then it was time to go back to Canberra where we decided to skip the little village and do the walk in bird avery as it might be a bit more age appropriate for Olivia. Olivia was not sure about it at all and cried when a bird landed on her. Sophie was a little unsure to begin with but soon got into the swing of things. The birds were very friendly, flocking to you in groups of at least 5 at a time.

The bird park was good fun and afterwards we strolled through the small mall they had there looking at the lovely childrens clothes and furnishings that were at exhorberant prices (hence the looking not buying!) hehe. Another cold night in store and heading for Dubbo tomorrow.

Nite
