15th April

I was right, it was not as cold but it was raining when we woke again! We packed up while the rain took a short break and headed for QLD Charliville where my older sister her husband and my niece Cassie live.

It rained and rained and rained. We saw lots of kanagroos and emu or memu as Libby said! The girls almost got whiplash looking from one window to another.

Finally got a photo of the nsw sign as all the ones down the other end were all on bridges and you could not easily stop to take a photo. The kidman way was part of the way we have just come and the Matilda way is some of the way we are heading. We reached Cunumulla just before lunch time and headed off to see the Fella.

Other than the Fella there is not too much else to do in Cunumulla now days we had lunch and a play at the park and as it had begun to rain again we headed onwards to Charlieville.

Sadly Cassie was admitted to hospital last night with a bad chest infection and is not being released until tomorrow so we went to see her in hospital. We also took a turn around town and checked out the in laws camp at the Baily Bar Caravan Park that does Yabbie racing once a week! We are currently waiting for dinner (Thai takeaway, none of us Ballantynes have tried it) so will go and fill you in on what else tomorrow.
