Today we left Augusta headed for Denmark. We said goodbye to the ducks and kangaroos and ended up taking almost 3 and a half hours to drive the 230K to Wapole. The road was as windy as a rollercoaster and there were at least 1000 bikers riding pushbikes along the road between Augusta and Pemberton for the WA Healthy Life Challenge. What a long trip that was! When we pulled up for lunch it was sprinkling but it did not bother anyone and we then pushed on into Wapole where Olivia finally fell asleep just as we pulled into the carpark for the Tree Top Walk! Luckily I had already done it at Christmas time with my Parents so i stayed in the car with her while James and Sophie did the walk.
We reached Denmark about 3 in the arvo and set up camp at Ocean Beach caravan park which low and behold had kangaroos and ducks! hehe. We ate fresh fish and frozen chips and salad for dinner which was lovely and then had to set up a wind break around Trish and Jimmy's caravan as the wind was very cold! Went to bed reasonably early as James had to head back to Wagin in the morning to fix a problem with the shop.
