17th March

Well, the trip to Donnelly Mill to see the kangaroo's and Emu's was a big sucess, there were quite a few of both animals and they were more than friendly. James had the brainwave of feeding them and suddenly we were swamped! hehe.

We had a lovely bbq last night at Aunty Sheryl's, the girls were besotted with Cousin Claire's 8 week old baby Reef, Sophie asked if we could have another baby!

The girls slept in this morning till almost 7am which was lovely and then we headed off to our next stop which was Augusta. On the way we stopped in Nannup and saw the Nannup tiger and a giant red back spider that the girls thought was great! We also went to see some falls which after a 15K drive we found was actually the name of a retreat and there were no falls much to everyone's dissapointment!

At Augusta we arrived at Molloy Caravan Park and the girls had a swim and play at the beach while we set up camp, Sophie learnt how to ride her bike in the sand and we had a visit from The Dodds (old friends of Trish and Jimmy) who gave us some crabs that the had caught and cooked!

Will spend tomorrow doing some much needed washing (not that we need clothes to wear as i bought enough to last the girls about a month but because im running out of room to put dirty clothes! lol) we will also head into town and see either the lighthouse or cave depending on how long the girls and James spend fishing in the morning which Sophie is very excited about and can not wait to use her pink fishing rod (thanks Grandad).

Will post more as we do more, miss everyone heaps though we are having lots of fun and girls are being very good!

Goodnight from The Ballantynes
